UAW Orientations
Following the ratification of the collective bargaining agreements covering academic student employees (ASE) and graduate student researchers (GSR), all first-time ASEs and GSRs are required to attend an Employee Orientation with representatives from UAW 2865, the union of ASEs and GSRs at UC. At this orientation, union leaders will familiarize you with your rights, protections, and benefits as a Student Researcher or ASE under the UC-UAW 2865 Bargaining Agreements.
Register at this UAW link for one of the following orientation times. Any GSR or ASE can attend any orientation, but it is strongly recommended that you attend the orientation relevant for your job title and/or department.

If you fill out a timesheet, log 30 minutes for the orientation. Please contact santabarbara@uaw2865.org if you have any questions.
