Leave of Absence

Academic employees can remain on pay status with the University for the duration they have paid medical leave available under policy. When paid leave is exhausted, employees can apply for disability insurance payments according to the plans they are enrolled in (Basic Disability, Voluntary Short Term Disability, and Voluntary Long Term Disability). Please review your benefit enrollments in UCPath to determine which plans you are enrolled in. Login to the UCPath portal, and navigate to your benefits: Employee Actions>Health and Welfare>Benefits Summary.
