2025-26 Salary Increase Programs for Represented Academic Employees

Re: 2025-26 Salary Increase Programs for Represented Academic Employees
Represented academic employees will receive increases as stipulated in the applicable Memoranda of Understanding. Salary increases will be applied at UCSB as follows:
Effective July 1, 2025 (July 6, 2025 for bi-weekly paid employees):
| Represented Academic Researchers (Research, Project Scientist, and Specialist series) | Salary scales will be increased by 3.5%, per the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the UAW. Off-scale supplements will not be increased. |
| Represented Librarians: | Salary scales will be increased by 3.5%, per the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the UC-AFT. |
| Unit 18 Faculty (Lecturers and Supervisors of Teacher Education): | Salary scales will be increased by 4%, per the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the UC-AFT. |
Effective October 1, 2025 (Oct 12, 2025 for bi-weekly paid employees):
| Postdoctoral Scholars | Salary scales will be increased by 3.5%, per the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the UAW. |
| Graduate Student Researchers | Salary scales will be increased by 4%, per the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the UAW. |
| TAs, Associates, Readers, and Tutors | Salary scales will be increased by 4%, per the Memorandum of Understanding between the University and the UAW. |
Please share this information with your academic employees as appropriate.
The July 1, 2025 increases will be processed centrally from June 30, 2025 through July 4, 2025. Further detail regarding the July 1, 2025 implementation is attached.
Details regarding the October 1, 2025 implementation will be shared in September.
