The Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the area of Theory, Practice, and History of Chicana/o and Latina/o Art. Specializations may include, but are not limited to Indigenous, Pre-Columbian, Native American, Contemporary Chicana/o and Latina/o, Queer, and Feminist art. An ability to apply diverse methodologies and a manifest interest in interdisciplinary studies is recommended. Completion of the Ph.D. by time of appointment is required. Appointment is full-time in Chicana/o Studies effective 7/1/09.
